Hello everyone!

I am moving this baby blog to our old Shutterfly share site. I will put more photos up there because I am uploading photos there to order anyways. I will put more day to day stuff on the Shutterfly sites, updates, videos etc. (check out the crawling video I posted already on there). I will still update this website as bigger things happen!

Dean is crawling & climbing on everything in the last couple weeks. Once they get going…oh my!

Hello everyone!!

Update:

Dean had his 6 month Doctor appointment on Wednesday. He is 19 lbs and 2 oz. (75th percentile) getting very close to 20 lbs and heavy on Mommy’s arm. He is 29 inches long (born at 20.5 inches) and the doc said he is off the charts for height (& head size too). He is a growing and intelligent little man. It’s amazing what he is starting to understand. The doctor was very impressed with his development and said he is a healthy/growing boy. He is two bottom teeth now and I am still nursing which is an interesting experience. Once the top teeth come in we’re going to have to start pumping primarily. One good chomp and we could be done for! HA.

Dean is getting ready for his first Christmas. We took some funny photos which are posted on my photo blog of Dean and the dog children. Also with Dean in his Santa hat which he will be sporting Christmas morning! Grandma and Grandpa Hud are coming down for Christmas…they will be here in less than a week! Very exciting. They haven’t visited with Dean since October. So it will be a great reunion.

Anyhow, just a quick update in Baby D’s world. Hope you all have a beautiful holiday and stay warm! Especially all my Minnesota folks. Send some snow down here! LOVE & HUGS, Sam and Dean

My favorite (recent) photo of him! This photo was taken by accident while taking photos of another baby. I just love his expression and the whole photo! Dean turned 6 months old yesterday. He is changing everyday!

September and October

Good evening!!

Yes, the blog is still here. I know we didn’t post anything all of October (the month just flew by!)

A lot has happened. I will make a list:

Dean and I (and our good friend “Auntie” Jessica) drove to Atlanta on September 20th to meet Mikey/Daddy for his Ranger school graduation! After almost 3 months of no contact besides a few phone calls and good ol’ letters-it was nice/surreal to be reunited with him. He lost 25 pounds or so and you could tell he was so happy to be done and eating real food again.

Mike’s parents came down to see Mike graduate. We then drove home from Georgia all together!

A week later, we left for Minnesota for a visit and I had two weddings to photograph! We drove all the way up with a 4 month old! 2,400 miles in total! YIKES! We made a stop in St. Joseph, Michigan (our favorite place to visit) and Dean met his namesake Grandpa Dean and Grandma Betty! We had such a nice visit and the photos are shown below in the slideshow. We were able to bring the dogs this time and they had such a nice time running free on the beach. We also were able to visit with Uncle Doug and Aunt Susan and we are excited to see them again over Thanksgiving. We just love it there and never want to leave.

Dean was baptized Wednesday, October 6th at Grandpa and Grandma Huddleston’s Church. Dean cried very hard when he first was dipped in the water but as soon as we pulled him out and he realized he had an audience he hammed it up. He was smiling and flirting with the crowd-wish we had a video. We all had dinner afterward to celebrate! Thank you again for everyone coming and all the thoughtful gifts! Thank you especially to Nancy for helping organize everything and to Andy & Kyleen Dean’s Godparents!

We bought a new car while up there a Black 2008 Toyota Sequoia Limited. We were already outgrowing the 4Runner so we bought a giant boat of a vehicle for us, Dean and the two dog children. It’s beautiful and we love it. We loved having it for the ride back down to NC. Mike especially liked watching the movie “The Hangover” in the backseat.

We had his 4 month Doctor appointment and he is 16lbs. 14 oz. and 26 3/4 inches long. A big boy! Still in the 90th or so for everything. He is starting to expand his menu besides just milk!! We had a very good sweet potato experience tonight!

Oh yes, how could I forget! My sister had her baby boy on September 6th! I think I mentioned that in an earlier post…we were able to meet him while home in MN. What a beautiful little man! How awesome they get to grow up together. They are here now visiting for the next week!

Halloween was a success. Two costume parties, trick or treating (he just walked around with the older kids-no candy this year!) and good friends! Dean was a baby cow! Photos to come.

We are going to take Christmas photos this weekend and some fun ones of Charlie & Dean. Very exciting. Between editing photos and taking care of Deano, the house and the dogs, I am a very busy lady so I will TRY to blog more often but there’s no guarantee. I will try at least every month! Dean’s first visit to Minnesota and then some…

Dean met family and friends on his trip home. We spent 12 days in MN and we were able to make a trip to Wisconsin to go to Aunt Sandy’s and Uncle Scott’s cabin and stop into the Siverling’s farm to wear a Viking’s jersey. Grandpa Vernie had a Packer’s jersey waiting for Dean! We had such a nice visit-thank you to everyone for making it such a special trip!

3 months old yesterday! I just love this age. He is laughing, smiling and “talking” so much. We already have our own little language well sort of.

LAST BUT NOT LEAST! We became Auntie Sam and Uncle Mikey on Monday!! Welcome to BABY CHARLIE!! He came on Labor day the little comedian! We are SO excited to meet and hold you!! SO happy for Momma Ky and Dad Joe!! See you in a few weeks! I’m going to take so many photos of you little one, get ready! Sidenote: he was born on 9-6-2010 the flip of Dean’s birthday 6-9-2010. I love that connection-you can never forget either of their bday’s that way.

Almost 3 months old!

I have been meaning to update this blog for awhile now! At Dean’s 2 month appointment he weighed an even 14 pounds (95th percentile) and he was 24.5 inches long (97th percentile). I think he has grown a lot since then as that was three weeks ago. It’s been a crazy last few weeks, Grandma (GG) was here for the last almost month and then we ventured up to Minnesota for 12 days. We had a nice visit with family and friends as well as a successful photo trip for Mom! Dean had his first plane ride and was such a good boy. Only cried for about a minute (longest minute of my life-ha!) and didn’t cry at all the second flight when I was by myself. Thank goodness! We got the whole back row of the plane to ourselves so we spread out like it was the living room couch-not quite! Our friend, Jessica, who was so sweet to watch the house while we were gone was there in baggage claim waiting for us. We exited the airport with not one cry-now I don’t want to fly again for awhile because I know it will never be that smooth-well maybe. I am going to put a slideshow of photos on here soon. I have been contemplating ending this blog as I haven’t had the time between taking care of Dean and editing photos. I think we’ve had a good run on here. It was only meant to be a pregnancy blog…we will see. Photos up soon, Sam and Dean

Hi everyone!

Dean turned 2 calendar months old yesterday! I thought I would share with you again his 1 month old photo and his 2 month old photo taken yesterday. My guess is he weighs about 13.6. Let me know if you have any guesses too! He gets bigger by the day. I will add more photos soon of recent events. I take so many photos of him it’s hard to organize them all. We are so excited to come home and visit with everyone! A week from tomorrow…ohhh it will be so nice to be home with the little man! Please write or call anytime. We are just enjoying our time.
